Terms of Use
Last updated November 2, 2026
These terms cover your use of CardShows (the “site”), run by CardShows (“we”, “us”). By using the site, listing a show, or buying boosts, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. What CardShows is
CardShows is a free directory of trading card shows. Listings come from organizers, from visitors, and from public sources. We don't organize, host, sell tickets to, or endorse any show, and we're not a party to anything between you and an organizer, venue, or vendor.
Dates, times, prices, and details can be wrong or change without notice. Always confirm with the organizer before you travel. You attend any event at your own risk.
2. Using the site
- Use the site lawfully and don't interfere with how it works.
- Don't copy the listings in bulk with automated tools, or resell or republish them as a dataset.
- Don't submit false, misleading, or harmful content, including fake shows, scam ticket links, or phishing.
- The site is not directed at children under 13.
3. Listing a show
When you submit or claim a listing, you confirm that:
- the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and you'll correct it if it changes;
- you have the right to share any flyer, image, or text you upload;
- you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to display, format, and share that content to run and promote the site.
We may edit, decline, or remove any listing at any time, for any reason, including listings that look inaccurate, duplicated, or abusive. Listing is free.
4. Boosts
A boost is paid placement for one specific show listing. Boosted shows rank higher on the board, state pages, and near-me “Top” results, may appear in the homepage spotlight, and are always labeled “Boosted”. Anyone can boost any listed show.
- What you get: the boosts are added to that listing's total and count toward its ranking until the show starts. Boosts don't buy a table, admission, an endorsement, a particular rank, or any amount of traffic or attendance. Other people can boost other shows past yours.
- Board races: ranking, close times, and tie rules are described on the board. We may change race rules for future races. Places in a race that has closed stand as recorded, except as described below.
- Awards: any bonus boosts, badges, or other recognition are promotional, have no cash value, are not transferable, and may be changed or ended at any time.
- Boosts have no cash value and can't be transferred to another listing, except where we choose to move them to a rescheduled date of the same show.
5. All sales final
All boost purchases are final and non-refundable, including if the show is cancelled, postponed, changed, or removed, if its listing details are wrong, or if it doesn't reach a particular place on the board. Boosting closes once a show starts.
If you think you were charged in error, contact us first at [contact email]. If you file a chargeback for a boost that was delivered, we may remove those boosts, void any race result they affected, and refuse future purchases.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Prices are shown before you pay and may change for future purchases. You're responsible for any taxes that apply to you.
7. Abuse and removal
We may remove boosts, void race results, or remove listings tied to fraud, stolen payment methods, chargebacks, fake or duplicate listings, or attempts to manipulate rankings, without refund.
8. Other sites and services
The site links to ticketing sites, organizer pages, social media, and map services we don't control. We're not responsible for their content, purchases you make there, or their privacy practices.
9. Copyright
If you believe content on the site infringes your copyright, send the details (the content, its location, and your contact information) to [contact email]. We remove infringing content when properly notified.
10. Disclaimers
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy of listings, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
11. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for anything that happens at an event listed on the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50.
12. Your responsibility
If content you submit, or your misuse of the site, leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim.
